More than 80% of kids who have used e-cigarettes started with a flavored ecigarette product. These flavors attract kids and mask the dangers of the extremely elevated nicotine content, which is highly addictive.
It’s time for New York State to take the lead and ban the sale of flavored e-cigarette products by passing State Assembly bill A0047A and State Senate bill S.0428.
It is time for New York City to restrict the sale of all flavored tobacco – including menthol, mint, and wintergreen products. By passing NYC Council Intro 1345- 2019 and NYC Council Intro 1362-2019 together, we can reduce the use of tobacco products, especially among children, and reduce the death and disease associated with its use.

Two bills that would restrict the sale of flavored tobacco products, including flavored e-cigarettes and menthol cigarettes, in New York City. Flavors hook kids, and two bills - Intro. 1362 (Cabrera) and Intro. 1345 (Levine) - would finally close the loopholes in NYC's Flavored Tobacco Sales policy that allow flavored tobacco products to continue to addict our kids.
