NYC sues 11 e-cig distributors in latest broadside against vaping

YahooNews: Top New York City officials announced Thursday that the city is suing 11 distributors of vaping devices in a lawsuit that seeks to end their illegal distribution and create a new fund to warn youngsters off nicotine. Dorian Fuhrman, cofounder of Parents Against Vaping, described the city’s lawsuits as a “first step,” but said much more needs to be done.

Ohio Senate overrides DeWine’s veto, blocking cities from banning flavored tobacco

NBC4: The Ohio Senate voted to override Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto on a provision prohibiting local governments from enacting regulations on the sale of tobacco — including by banning flavored tobacco products. The policy, which will go into effect in three months, means that newly-enacted flavored tobacco bans in Columbus, Worthington and other central Ohio cities cannot be enforced.
