In 2026, Parents Against Vaping is thrilled to continue Clear the Vapor Conversations, an exciting year-long series inspired by our successful Clear the Vapor conference! Our 2025 series drew over 10,000 registrants and thousands of live attendees.
Like the conference, Clear the Vapor Conversations convenes researchers, public health advocates, and leading experts as they participate in informative discussions held throughout the year. The series addresses a variety of topics including: environmental harms caused by vaping; “creative” vaping cessation ideas; and engaging youth to quit. Each event features a moderated discussion with your questions answered live.
Nicotine Pouches on the Rise: What Parents Need to Know About the New Nicotine Landscape with Dr. Bonnie Halpern-Felsher
Thursday, September 17 | 6:00 PM ET | 3:00 PM PT | Zoom | FREE!
Nicotine products are changing quickly, and one of the fastest-growing concerns is small, discreet, flavored nicotine pouches that can be easy for parents and educators to miss.
The issue became even more urgent this month when the FDA authorized four new on! nicotine pouch products in Rich Berry, Autumn Spice, and Cappuccino flavors. Nicotine pouches are already the second-most-used tobacco product among U.S. youth, and national data show that the overwhelming majority of young people who use them choose flavored products.
Join Parents Against Vaping and Dr. Bonnie Halpern-Felsher, founder and executive director of the Stanford REACH Lab, for a timely conversation about what families need to understand about nicotine pouches, why these products are gaining traction, how flavors and marketing can shape youth interest, and what parents and communities can do to respond.
The conversation also comes as Stanford REACH marks 10 years of its Tobacco Prevention Toolkit, part of a suite of prevention resources developed under Dr. Halpern-Felsher's leadership and now used by educators and young people around the world. Stanford reports that its prevention toolkits have reached more than 3 million students.
