ROI NJ: Cristine Delnevo, director of the Rutgers Center for Tobacco Studies and a professor of Health Behavior, Society and Policy at the Rutgers School of Public Health, was appointed chairperson of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC). Her appointment as chair will run through Jan. 31, 2025.

The Dangers of E-cigarettes: As the use of traditional cigarettes has declined in recent years, many people are experimenting with e-cigarette products also known as; vape pens, vaporizers, hookah pens, tank system, mods, Juul, and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), without being aware of the risks and the potential for future nicotine addiction.
Recognizing the dangers of vaping, this best practices document was developed by Somerset County school district administrators in collaboration with the Somerset County Office of the Executive County Superintendent of Schools, Office of the Prosecutor, and the County Health Office.
